Bob Hollis is the founder of The Mobius Network LLC, a progressive technology services provider that applies free and open source software solutions to help organizations with a public benefit mission achieve their objectives. His clients include environmental groups, non-profit organizations, consultants, small businesses, and public agencies located throughout the United States, Asia, Europe, and South America.
Prior to founding The Mobius Network, Mr. Hollis owned and operated a national executive recruiting firm based in Chicago, IL. His professional career includes more than two decades of hands-on management and consulting experience with organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, and more than fifteen years of website design and development experience.
Bob has served as a non-partisan elected public official in El Dorado County, CA and as State Co-chair for California Recycles Day.
Mr. Hollis is the recipient of the Keep California Beautiful Volunteer of the Year Award, The California Resource Recovery Association Annual Service Award, and the California Product Stewardship Council Outstanding Partner Award.
Mr. Hollis has presented on subjects related to business, technology, social media, and the environment on behalf of organizations including the California Resource Recovery Association, The Northern California Recycling Association, New Noise Music Conference, Keep California Beautiful, U.S. Zero Waste Business Council, Illinois Recycling Association, Illinois Association of Personnel Services, Carlson Learning Company, and US EPA Science and Technology Council. Bob was the subject of a featured cover article in California Special District Magazine that inspired a Zero Waste theme for the annual CSDA conference in Monterey.
Mr. Hollis currently teaches a series of classes on behalf of California Capital Financial Development Corporation on Cybersecurity, Online Privacy, Open Source Software Applications, Website Development, Digital ADA Compliance, Search Engine Optimization, and Social Media Marketing Integration. Bob’s online technology tutorials have more than 100,000 views and have been promoted by open source software developers to educate their customers.
Bob’s educational background includes a BS in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University with a focus on Marketing and Management Information Systems, a graduate business and liberal arts education with a focus on marketing at the University of Chicago, graduate studies in Environmental Management at Harvard University, and continuing studies in Web and Social Media technology at Stanford University.
